The Guthrie High School softball team had a busy weekend with four games in two days as they returned home for the second time on the young season on Monday as they hosted Blackwell.

Madison Dutton had a special senior season as she helped guide the Lady Jays to the State tournament for the first time since 1998. On Friday, she signed her letter to play college softball.
Madison Dutton received the call from Jays softball head coach Chase Langely. “Do you feel any different today,” the coach asked his senior shortstop. Dutton replied with a curious “no.”
Freshmen pitcher Karrah Dean struck out 10 Pryor hitters in the first round of the state softball tournament while pitching out of several jams. The work load was not quite good enough as Pryor scored the lone run of the game in the bottom of the ninth inning.
