Kentrell Brothers is the third BlueJay to be selected to elite camp

Guthrie High School junior to be Kentrell Brothers figures to be one, if not the one, of the key opponents for head coach Rafe Watkins for the next two seasons on both sides of the ball, but in the meantime, Brothers is having himself a busy summer.

Along with Blake Belcher and younger brother Richard Brothers, Kentrell attended the National Underclassmen Combine and was invited back to the Ultimate 100 Camp. Kentrell will travel back to Atlanta on June 22.

Kentrell attended the camp in Atlanta, GA while waiting to attend the Georgia Bulldogs Camp.

40% of the athletes that have attend the Ultimate 100 football camp have received D-1 scholarship

offers. The highest percentage of any program in the USA.

 

Kentrell, who help lead the BlueJay basketball team to back-to-back state titles, attended Missouri's one day football camp and received favorable reviews by Mizzou, Wyoming, and Cornell.

Kentrell, also attended the DeBartolo Sports University Camp and was invited back for the DeBartolo Fab 50 Camp, in July, and will be featured by ESPN.

On Friday, June 12, he will head to the University of Tulsa for their one day camp and the following day will attend an invite University of Oklahoma one day camp.

 

Brothers will attend the Football University Camp, on June 26, in Kansas City after receiving an invite via the telephone Thursday evening. The FBU works with the U.S. Army All-American game among other national high school events.

 

Kentrell (pictured left) will compete for the vacant quarterback spot, but may see time at the slot receiver where he played this past season.

 

To go along with the football camps, Brothers is playing AAU basketball this summer.

Kentrell Brothers soars for a pass at the DeBartolo Sports University Camp. Brothers will visit Tulsa and Oklahoma this week for one day camps.
