Guthrie well represented in Oil BowlOil Bowl loaded with Guthrie BlueJays including GHS coaches

Five members of the 2008 Guthrie BlueJay football team will help represent Oklahoma, on a star-studded roster, to travel across the Red River for the 72nd annual Oil Bowl with Texas.
The game is set for Saturday, June 13th, with a kick time of 7:30 in Wichita Falls Memorial Stadium, in Wichita Texas.
Callins set many Guthrie records including most passing yards in a season (2,352) and in a career (3,544). Callins also set Guthrie records with 31 touchdown passes his senior season and 47 for a career. He will be joined with Mustang's Kyle Webster as the teams quarterback.
Foster, who was an unanimous All-State selection after leading Class 5A in receiving with nearly 1,000 yards, will lead the receiving corps that include Mark Hodge, Jordan Lukens, Tracy Moore, and Marcus Kennard.
The offense will be loaded at running back with Jeremy Smith, who is committed Oklahoma State, and Tim Flanders, who is going to Kansas State. Watkins will be the teams offensive coordinator.
Skyler Smith will help lead an Oklahoma defense that features three Carl Albert Titans. Smith controlled the Jays defensive line as offense's generally ran the opposite side of Smith. |
